Point Finder is a high precision 3D touch sensor (probe) which is enable to do any kind of measurements, such as reference position, inside / outside diameter, centering, angle, groove width, and height. All model has nonmagnetic stylus, and its repeatability is assured of ±0.5μm with the standard length stylus. There are 5 models as PTN, PTC, WP, SPi, WPi.

Specifications of the Point Finder series

Use model 'PTN' and 'PTC' when a workpiece is metal or nonferrous metal. 'SPi' is used for measuring plastic, wood and some other materials which block electricity. For small high-speed mashining center, 'Type 06' is available.

**As a standard-sized stylus, ST-3×23.5NM is equipped with a small point finder (PTN-06N, SPi-06),
　　ST-6×40NM with a point finder, and ST-6×29NM with a point finder-i.
　　It is possible to exchange the size of stylus. For details, refer to 【Nonmagnetic Stylus】.

'Water-proof Point Finder Series' have a structure to prevent cutting fluid and invisible dust from entering inside of sensor. It meets IP67, IEC standard. Eliminate measurement error, and get high machining quality with it!

Using the Point Finder [External Contact Type] on a machining center with a ceramic bearing, it blocks electricity and workpiece can't be measured. 'Magnet Cable M-500' is a MUST! Length: 50cm It's easy to use: Put a magnet on the housing (front cover) of a point finder and the other on workpiece.

A magnet cable is included with a small-size point finder, PTN-06N.
In case you buy other Point Finder [External] series, make sure the specification of the machining center you use.
